Philip had his two year well child visit today. He is 25 pounds and 33 inches tall, which puts him at about the 10th percentile for both weight and height. He is on the small side but his doctor isn't worried as he is growing proportionately and hitting all of his milestones. He had his finger pricked to test his iron and got the chicken pox booster. He took both like a champ and barely shed a tear! Afterwards we took him to get an ice cream cone for being such a brave little guy. He got his own chocolate cone which he ate in record time! The weather was beautiful today: in the upper 80s and sunny with a wonderful breeze to keep us comfortable. We enjoyed lingering at the outdoor table long after our ice cream treats were gone, while Philip threw every one of Mommy's pennies from her purse into the fountain. Andrew was an angel and took a nice long snooze while we ate. He really loves being outdoors in the warm air!
Philip doesn't have to go back to the doctor's office for another well child visit until he is three and no more shots until he's five and ready to enter kindergarten! I can't believe he only has to go in once a year now. He's growing up so fast!
